ESCON Channel FeatureThe ESCON channel delivers up to 17 Mbps link data rate to servers, switches,control units and storage devices. ESCON channels can coexist with FICON on allzSeries 800 server models.The zSeries 800 system uses the 16 port ESCON card. Fifteen of the ports areused on this card.
