58 AEJ-C/AES-C/PLJ-C-BA-e-162113 Adjustment < P1 JUSTAGE >As the acceleration value due to gravity is not the same at every location on earth, each balance must be coordinated - in compliance with the underlying physicalweighing principle - to the existing acceleration due to gravity at its place of location(only if the balance has not already been adjusted to the location in the factory). Thisadjustment process must be carried out for the first commissioning, after eachchange of location as well as in case of fluctuating environment temperature. Toreceive accurate measuring values it is also recommended to adjust the balanceperiodically in weighing operation.Possible adjustments include:• Automatic adjustment using internal weight (models AEJ, PLJ)time and temperature controlled, see chap. 13.1.• Manual internal adjustment (models AEJ, PLJ)To activate, press the CAL-key, see chap. 13.2.1.• Adjustment using external weight (model AES), see chap. 13.2.2.• Observe stable environmental conditions. A warming up time (see chapter1) is required for stabilization.• Internal adjustment can only be carried out when the weighing pan is freeof objects. If the weighing pan is loaded, the error message exceeded> will appear.• You can cancel the adjustment by pressing the TARE-key.• Carry out external adjustment as near as possible to the balance’smaximum weight (recommended adjustment weight see chap. 1). Weightsof different nominal values (>30% max) may be used for adjustment butare not optimal for technical measuring. Info about test weights can be foundon the Internet at: http://www.kern-sohn.com.
