Under normalcircumstances, the transceiver will operate in accordancewith these operating instructions. All adjustabletrimmers, coils and resistors in the transceiver werepreset at the factory. They should only be readjusted bya qualified technician who is familiar with this transceiverand has the necessary test equipment. Attemptingservice or alignment without factory authorization canvoid the transceiver warranty.When operated properly, the transceiver will provideyears of service and enjoyment without requiring furtherrealignment. The information in this section gives somegeneral service procedures requiring little or no testequipment.94SERVICEIf it is ever necessary to return the equipment to yourdealer or service center for repair, pack the transceiverin its original box and packing material. Include a fulldescription of the problems experienced. Include yourtelephone number along with your name and address incase the service technician needs to call for furtherexplanation while investigating your problem. Don’treturn accessory items unless you feel they are directlyrelated to the service problem.You may return your transceiver for service to theauthorized KENWOOD Dealer from whom you purchasedit or any authorized KENWOOD service center. A copyof the service report will be returned with the transceiver.Please do not send subassemblies or printed circuitboards. Send the complete transceiver.Tag all returned items with your name and call sign foridentification. Please mention the model and serialnumber of the transceiver in any communicationregarding the problem.
