MENU SET-UPMENU DESCRIPTIONMany functions on this transceiver are selected orconfigured via software-controlled menus instead ofphysical controls on the transceiver. Once familiar withthe Menu system, you will appreciate the versatility itoffers. No longer is the number and complexity offeatures restricted by the physical size of transceiver.The Menus are identified as Menu A and Menu B.Menu A is used to access functions that are frequentlychanged while Menu B is used for less frequentlychanged functions.MENU A ACCESSAnytime that you want to change a function that iscontrolled by Menu A, use the following procedure:1 Press [F] (1 s) to enter Menu A.e "MENU" begins blinking and the menu selected lastappears.2 Select the desired menu function by pressing either[MR] or [VFO].22e Press [VFO] to cycle through functions in adownward direction on the chart.e Press [MR] to cycle through functions in an upwarddirection on the chart.e Microphone [MR] or [VFO] may be used if moreconvenient.o Select the desired menu selection by turning theTuning control or by pressing microphone [UP] or[DWN].e When selecting from a group of numeric menuselections, turning the Tuning control clockwise orpressing microphone [UP] selects in ascendingorder, and turning the Tuning controlcounterclockwise or pressing microphone [DWN]selects in descending order.> After selecting the desired menu selection, press[SHIFT] or [TONE/CTCSS] or [REV] or [DTSS] toexit Menu A.Note: The Automatic Power Off timer stops counting while you arein Menu Set-up.
