1-16 Getting StartedWhen remaining battery power falls to 10%, the systememits a single beep; when battery power falls to 5%, thesystem beeps once every 60 seconds.Installing the Battery PackInstall the battery pack in your system as follows. (For in-formation about replacing a battery pack, see “Replacingthe Battery Pack,” later in this section.)! CAUTIONBe sure to save your data before replacing the bat-tery pack or connecting the AC adapter. Failure todo so can result in data loss.1. If your system is on, save your data, close any applica-tions running, and power off the system.2. Align the battery pack with the Battery Pack bay. Makesure the battery contacts are aligned properly with theconnector inside the bay. Install the battery pack only inthis bay.3. Push the battery pack into the bay until the locking latchon the bottom of the system clicks into place.How to Recharge the Battery PackWhen battery power gets low, proceed as follows:1. Connect your system to the AC adapter and AC powerto recharge the battery pack . Your system is againready for use and will recharge as being used.
