Enter the settings for thegroup:Group name, Group topic, and aWelcome note that the participantssee when they join the groupGroup size — Specify the maximumnumber of members allowed to jointhe group.Allow search — Define if others canfind the IM group by searching.Editing rights — Scroll to the IMgroup members to whom you wantto give editing rights and permissionto invite contacts to join the group.Group members — See "Restrictaccess to an IM group" on page 87.Banned — Display a list of bannedusers.Allow private msgs. — Allow orprevent private messaging betweenmembers.Group ID — The group ID is createdautomatically and cannot bechanged.Edit IM group settingsSelect Menu > Connect. > IM > IMgroups.You can edit the settings for an IMgroup if you have created the groupor if the creator of the group hasgiven you editing rights. In the IMgroups view, scroll to the desiredgroup, and select Options > Group >Settings. See "Create a new IMgroup" on page 87.Restrict access to an IM groupYou can make an IM group closed bycreating a group members list. Onlythe users on the list are allowed tojoin the group. Select the IM groupsview, scroll to the group, and selectOptions > Group > Settings > Groupmembers > Selected only.To add a user to the list, select Add >From IM contacts or Enter user ID.To remove a user from the list, scrollto the user, and select Remove.To clear the list and allow all IMusers to join the group again, selectRemove all.■ Connection managerSelect Menu > Connect. > Conn.mgr..In the connection manager, you canidentify the status of multiple dataconnections, view details on theamount of data sent and received,and end unused connections. Youcan view details of data connectionsonly. Voice calls are not listed.
