Book C-119Chapter 2 Configuration ParametersRemote Annex Administrator’s Guide for UNIXBook Cvcli_inactivityThis Annex parameter specifies the amount of time in minutes that avirtual CLI session can remain inactive. If the specified interval of timehas expired, the Annex will terminate the virtual session. The range ofvalues for this parameter is 0 to 255; the default is 0, indicating that theinactivity timer is deactivated.vcli_passwordThis Annex parameter defines a password required for virtual CLIconnections to the Annex. The string size ranges from 0 to 15 characters. This parameter is useful for local password protection and as a back-upto host-based security. For local password protection, set theenable_security parameter to Y, set the vcli_security parameter to N,and define a password for this parameter. As a back-up for host-basedsecurity, setting this parameter causes the Annex to request a passwordon a virtual CLI connection whenever the security server does notrespond. The default is “”.Changes to this parameter take effect immediately.vcli_securityThis Annex parameter enables user validation on virtual CLI connectionsto and from an Annex for the duration of the connection. When enabled, the Annex enables connection security for all virtual CLI connectionsand executes the same user validation, including user name and password, that it uses with CLI security on asynchronous ports. This parameterworks with host-based security only when the enable_security parameteris set to Y. A Y enables this parameter, an N disables it. The default is N.
