Book C-43Chapter 2 Configuration ParametersRemote Annex Administrator’s Guide for UNIXBook Ca_routerThe Ethernet address of the network’s A_Router. The Annex uses thisvalue as a hint at start-up. When a Routing Table Maintenance Protocol(RTMP) message arrives from this Ethernet address, the Annex gleansthe AppleTalk DDP address from the packet and tries to talk to theAppleTalk router. The address is a hexadecimal Ethernet address, e.g.,00-7F-12-33-44-55. The default is 00-00-00-00-00-00.acp_keyThis Annex parameter defines the encryption key used to exchangemessages between the Annex and the security server. This parameterworks only when the enable_security parameter is set to Y and a securityserver is defined. The security server maintains the encryption key foreach Annex in the acp_keys file. The default for this string is “.”The Annex and the security server can communicate only when thisparameter’s value matches the Annex’s value in the security server’sacp_keys file.address_originThis asynchronous port parameter determines where the Remote Annexlooks to find the local and remote IP addresses to use for the endpointsof a PPP/IPCP link. Table C-20 describes the options. The default is local.
