A reset issued to aserial, virtual, or port_set, terminates any active connections.The reset command (available from na or admin) changes some of thecurrent attributes of all the Annexes in the default annex_list withoutrebooting them. Unless you use the reset command, changes toconfiguration parameters for a specific port, virtual CLI connection,security, or name server become effective only after booting the Annex.Table C-9 describes the supported keywords for the reset command. Thesyntax is:reset annex [=annex_list] annex_subsystemreset interface [=interface_list | keyword]reset printer [=printer_port_list | keyword]reset [port |asynchronous] [=async_port_list | keyword]The allowed values for annex_subsystem are security, motd,nameserver, macros, dialout, modem_table, lat, syslog, and all.The reset t1 command resets the T1 engine and T1 statistics information.This command is used to change the T1 engine’s parameter configuration.The T1 soft, hard, and esf keywords are described in Table C-10. Thesyntax is:reset t1 [soft | hard | esf]The reset int_modem command (available from na or admin) resets thespecified T1 modem_set. There is no physical reset button. A modemreset forces the port to be reset. In addition, if the signal protocol is setto wink start or immediate start, a special AT command is sent to themodem to select the dialtone detection mechanism.
