EN-12 ExplorerPro3.4 ApplicationsThe Explorer Pro balance contains Weighing, Parts Counting,Animal Weighing, Percent Weighing, Check Weighing, G/N/T andFilling applications. Before using any of these applications, theymust be turned on first before they can be accessed. A choicecan be made to turn on or off as many of these applications asrequired. All settings are saved.To use any of the modes that have been turned on, press theMode button repeatedly to cycle through all of the applicationmodes.3.4.1 WeighingThe Explorer Pro balance is shipped with grams only enabled.The balance can be used immediately after calibration has beenperformed. When the balance is to be used with other units ofmeasure, the desired unit must be enabled.USEZero the balance. Place objects or material to be weighed on thepan. Its weight is displayed.Tare the balance. The container’s weight is stored in memory.Add material to the container. As material is added, its net weightis displayed.Removing the container and material from the pan will cause thebalance to display the container’s weight as a negative number.The tared container weight will remain in memory until the balanceis zeroed again or the balance is turned off.
