Introduction 11The One Touch KeypadThe One Touch keys are your OKIFAX’s most im-portant tool. Use them for quick, one-touch dialing,and to access most functions and programming op-tions.Using the One Touch Keys for DialingTo use a One Touch key for dialing, just press theappropriate One Touch key. For each key, you canprogram up to two telephone numbers: a primarynumber, which will always be dialed first, and anoptional alternate number which will be automati-cally dialed if the first number is busy or if there isno answer. You can also use the Search key to findlocations programmed into One Touch keys.One Touch Keys available:• The OKIFAX 5300 Plus has keys 1–15 available.• The OKIFAX 5600 Plus has keys 1– 15 available onthe main One Touch panel, and keys 16–30available beneath the main One Touch panel.To access One Touch keys 16–30 on the OKIFAX 5600Plus:• Lift up the main One Touch keypad by the latch(on the left side of the cover). This lets you usekeys 16–30.• When you’re finished, close the keypad to continuenormal operation and programming.Using the One Touch Keys forSelecting Functions and ProgrammingUse One Touch keys 1–10 for selecting special trans-mission and reception functions, for obtaining re-ports, and for quick access to programming func-tions.To select a function:1 Press the Select Function key.2 Press the corresponding One Touch key.1/Delayed TX key: Use this key to send a fax at a latertime and date which you specify (within threedays).
