If a person is on the line, carry on yourconversation.• If a remote fax machine is on the line, or if a person wishesto fax you a document after a conversation, press the Startkey.• When the RECEIVING message appears on the display,hang up the handset.• After you receive the fax, a long beep will tell you that thetransmission was successful.Receiving Faxes in MemoryYour MFP automatically receives messages into memory (andnot immediately print them) in a few different situations.Memory Reception ModeWhen your MFP is set to Memory Reception mode, itreceives data into its memory without printing and thedisplay shows MSG. IN MEMORY. Printing out a messagestored in memory can be done in two ways:a Switch to Auto Receive mode.After disabling the Memory Reception mode, all messagesstored in memory are printed out.b Print out OperationMessages stored in memory can also be printed out usingthe following process:1 Press the Select Function key.2 Press the 2/Print Operation key. The display showsPRINT MEMORY MSG?3 Press the yes ß key. The stored message beginsprinting.No Paper Reception• If your MFP runs out of paper, a NO PAPER, REPLACEPAPER message appears on the display.• If your MFP runs out of paper, it continues to receive faxesin memory.• Your MFP automatically prints out any messages receivedin memory when the paper is replaced.No Toner Reception• When your MFP is running low on toner, it displaysTONER LOW, REPLACE TONER CART. If user function22:NO TONER MEM.RX is set to OFF (default setting),and the print density is high enough, you can continue touse the toner cartridge without replacing it until the printdensity becomes too low. If User Function 22:NO TONERMEM RX is set to ON, your MFP automatically receivesand stores messages in its memory when toner is low.
