MISFEED REMOVAL2-192Misfeed in the duplex module1 Unlatch the duplex module and slide it tothe left.Unlatch the unit andgently move the moduleaway from the machine.2 If the duplex module has an exit tray, rotateit up out of the way and open the cover ofthe duplex module.If no exit tray is attached,just open the cover ofthe duplex module andignore any reference tothe tray in the followingsteps.3 While holding the exit tray up, remove themisfed paper as shown in the illustrationsbelow.If paper is misfed at theupper part of the duplexmodule, gently remove itwhile taking care not totear the paper.If paper is misfed at thelower part of the duplexmodule, gently remove itwhile taking care not totear the paper.4 Close the cover of the duplex module andlower the exit tray.5 Gently close the duplex module.After closing the duplexmodule, confirm that themisfeed message iscleared and the normaldisplay appears.Q Misfeed in the bypass tray1 Unlatch the duplex module and slide it tothe left.Unlatch the unit andgently move the moduleaway from the machine.2 Remove the misfed from the bypass tray.Be careful not to tear themisfed paper duringremoval.3 Gently close the duplex module.After closing the duplexmodule, confirm that themisfeed message iscleared and that thenormal display appears.
