Manipulating Clips with Thumbnails: Thumbnail Manipulations OverviewIncomplete clips may be generated when clips recorded onmultiple P2 cards (connected clips) are separately copied todifferent cards. Close themenu, hold down the STOP button for 2 seconds to end thisconnection, and try again.Press the THUMBNAIL MENU button andselect OPERATION COPY from thethumbnail menu.Select Slot 1-2 or SD memory card as thedestination.When a confirmation screen asks you to confirm thatyou want to copy the clip, use a cursor button and theSET button to select YES if you want to copy the clip.Do not turn off the power or remove a P2 card while data isbeing copied. Doing so may cause the P2 card to fail. If youshould accidentally perform one of the above operations,defective clips will be generated. Delete them, and then copythem again.When clips are copied to P2 cards, all the information on theclips is copied. However, when they are copied to the SDmemory card *, video and sound information is not copied,only thumbnails, clip metadata, icons, Voice Memo, proxy,and real-time metadata.When there is insufficient recording capacity on thedestination, the message LACK OF REC CAPACITY! isdisplayed, and copying will not proceed. When clips to becopied include some with defects, the message CANNOTACCESS! is displayed, and copying will not proceed. Ifselected clips include any that are already recorded on thedestination P2 card, copying will not proceed.To interrupt copying, press the SHIFT button + EXIT button,or the SET button. Clips currently being copied to thedestination will be deleted.When identical clips exist on the destination card, theOVERWRITE? is displayed.
