10Front panelV DIAG buttonWhen this button is pressed, the VTR information isdisplayed.When it is pressed again, the original display isrestored.The VTR information consists of the “WARNING”information, “HOURS METER” information and“UMID” information.Switching between the display of each type ofinformation is accomplished by pressing the searchbutton.Displayed on the “WARNING” screen are details of thewarnings.Displayed on the “HOURS METER” screen are thedeck’s serial number, power-on time, drum rotationtime, tape travel time, number of times a cassette hasbeen loaded, number of times the power has beenturned on and off, and so on.Displayed on the “UMID INFO” screen are details ofthe UMID (Unique Material Identifier) information.W SUPER switchON:The superimposed time code and other informationis output to the VIDEO OUT 3 connector.By installing the SDI board (AJ-YA755G, availableas an optional accessory) in the VTR, thesuperimposed information is also output to the SDIOUT 3 connector.OFF:The superimposed information is not output.X REC INH switchThis switch is used to enable or disable recording onthe cassette tape.ON:Recording on the cassette tape is disabled(inhibited).In this state, the REC INH lamp lights on the displaypanel.OFF:Recording on the cassette tape is enabled so longas the accidental erasure prevention mechanism onthe cassette tape is set to enable recording.Parts and their functionsY TCG switchREGEN:The internal time code generator is synchronizedwith the time code which the time code readerhas read from the tape.The signal that is to be used for regeneration isselected using setup menu No. 503 (TCGREGEN).PRESET:The time code generator can be preset on theoperation panel or by remote control.EXT:The external time code which is input from thetime code input connector or video signal VITC isused.
