Subscriber’s Manual233.2 Replying to MessagesYou can reply to messages left in yourmailbox by either calling back the caller orby leaving a message in the caller'smailbox.Calling back is possible when the personwho left you the message is anothersubscriber. Calling back outside callers ispossible if their Caller ID information isreceived by the PBX and VPS, however,this feature is not available with certainPBXs and may be disabled by the SystemAdministrator or System Manager foryour mailbox.Replying by leaving a message in thecaller's mailbox is possible only if thecaller is another subscriber (i.e., theperson must have his or her ownmailbox). When replying by leaving amessage in the caller's mailbox, you canset any of the following:a) Urgent Status:The message will be heard beforeother messages by the recipient.b) Private Status:The recipient will not be able toforward the message, ensuringprivacy.c) Auto Receipt:You will receive notification (receiptmessage) once the recipient hasplayed back the message.Finally, you can send your replyimmediately or set a message deliverytime. However, please note that youcannot reply to receipt messages.Calling Back the Message Sender1. Play back the desired message.• See 3.1 Playing Messages ifnecessary.• Only new and old messagescan be replied to.
