5VQT0T60PreparationInformation for your safety(For UK and Republic of Ireland only)Caution for AC mains leadFor your safety, please read the followingtext carefully.This appliance is supplied with a mouldedthree-pin mains plug for your safety andconvenience. A 5-ampere fuse is fitted inthis plug.Should the fuse need to be replaced,please ensure that the replacement fusehas a rating of 5-amperes and it isapproved by ASTA or BSI to BS1362.Check for the ASTA mark Ï or the BSImark Ì on the body of the fuse.If the plug contains a removable fusecover you must ensure that it is refittedwhen the fuse is replaced. If you lose thefuse cover, the plug must not be used untila replacement cover is obtained. Areplacement fuse cover can be purchasedfrom your local Panasonic Dealer.IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG ISUNSUITABLE FOR THE SOCKETOUTLET IN YOUR HOME THEN THEFUSE SHOULD BE REMOVED ANDTHE PLUG CUT OFF AND DISPOSEDOF SAFELY.THERE IS A DANGER OF SEVEREELECTRICAL SHOCK IF THE CUT OFFPLUG IS INSERTED INTO ANY 13-AMPERE SOCKET.If a new plug is to be fitted, pleaseobserve the wiring code as shown nextpage.If in any doubt, please consult a qualifiedelectrician.∫ IMPORTANTThe wires in this mains lead are colouredin accordance with the following code:Blue: NeutralBrown: LiveAs the colours of the wires in the mainslead of this appliance may not correspondwith the coloured markings identifying theterminals in your plug, proceed as follows:The wire which is coloured BLUE must beconnected to the terminal in the plugwhich is marked with the letter N orcoloured BLACK.The wire which is coloured BROWN mustbe connected to the terminal in the plugwhich is marked with the letter L orcoloured RED.Under no circumstances should either ofthese wires be connected to the earthterminal of the three-pin plug, markedwith the letter E or the Earth Symbol Ó.∫ Before UseRemove theConnector Coveras follows.∫ How to replace the FuseThe location of the fuse differ according tothe type of AC mains plug (figures A and B).Confirm the AC mains plug fitted andfollow the instructions below.Illustrations may differ from actual ACmains plug.1) Open the fuse cover with ascrewdriver.2) Replace the fuse and close orattach the fuse cover.ConnectorCoverFuse coverFigure A Figure BFigure A Figure BFuse(5 ampere)Fuse(5 ampere)
