At the async terminal, configure the terminal to operate at 19.2 kbps, usingcharacter length of 8 bits, with one stop-bit, and no parity.3. Ensure that any hardware or software flow control is disabled.4. Reset the T1 access unit, then immediately and repeatedly press Return at arate of at least 1 press per second until the System Paused screen appears.(SeeResetting the T1 Access Unit from the Control Menu to reset the unit.)5. Tab to the desired method, and enter yes (or y) for the selected prompt.If entering yes to prompt . . . Then . . .Reset COM Port usage Port Type is set to Terminal. Data Rate (Kbps) is set to 19.2. Character Length is set to 8. Stop Bits is set to 1. Parity is set to None. External Device Commands is set to Disable.Reload Factory Defaults All factory-loaded configuration and controlsettings contained in the Default Factoryconfiguration area are loaded.If no (or n) is entered, or if no selection is made within 30 seconds, the T1access unit returns to the condition of operation it was in when the systempause was initiated, with the COM port settings returning to their configuredstates.If you choose yes, the T1 access unit resets itself, going through a DeviceSelf-Test. Connectivity is restored and the Main Menu screen appears.
