Setting Up5-359161-A2-GH30-30 April 1998Copying Port ConfigurationsCopy Ports provides an easy way to configure similar ports. Only enabled portsmay be copied. They may be copied to either enabled or disabled ports. Procedure1. Follow this menu selection sequence:Configuration Edit/Display →Copy Ports2. The Copy Ports screen appears. Select the desired slot number to copyconfiguration options from. Upon entering the screen, the slot number of theT1 NAM is displayed. Use the spacebar to cycle through the slots. You canalso type in the desired slot number.3. Select the desired port number to copy configuration options from. Use thespacebar to cycle through the ports available on the card in the selected slot.Only slots matching the type shown in the From: field are displayed. You canalso type in the desired slot number.4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to select the slot and port to copy configuration optionsto.5. Press Enter to begin the copy process.If the . . . Then the . . .Copy To slot and Copy To portare set to a specific slot andport numberCopy To slot and port configuration options arereplaced by the Copy From slot and portconfigurations options.Copy To slot is set to aspecific number and the CopyTo port is set to AllConfiguration options of all ports on the Copy Toslot are replaced by the Copy From slot and portconfiguration options.Copy To slot is set to All theCopy To port is set to aspecific numberConfiguration options of the Copy To port of allslots containing the same type of port (Voice E&M,Voice FXO, Voice FXS, Sync Data, or OCU-DP) ason the Copy From slot are replaced by the CopyFrom slot and port configuration options.Copy To slot and the Copy Toport are both set to AllConfiguration options of all ports of all slotscontaining the same type of port (Voice E&M, VoiceFXS, Sync Data, or OCU-DP) as on the Copy Fromslot are replaced by the Copy From slot and portconfiguration options.6. Select Perform Copy Then Increment if you want to automatically changethe values to the next higher port of the same type. If the last port of thehighest slot was specified, the value will change to Port 1 of the lowest slotcontaining the same port type.
