Configuring the SiteWinLink User and Installation Guide Version 1.750 5-97Setting External Alarm InputsThe IDU-C has two external alarm inputs in the form of dry-contactrelays. The Alarm interface is located on the front panel of the IDU-Cand is a 9-pin D-type female connector, see IDU-C Alarm Connector,Appendix A: Wiring Specifications for the pinout. The user enables ordisables each of the alarms and can configure the text that appears inthe alarm trap. The ODU sends the alarm within less than a secondfrom actual alarm trigger.Æ To set the external alarm inputs:1. Open the Site Configuration Alarms configuration by clickingConfiguration > Advanced.Figure 5-21: External Alarm Configuration2. Enter a description of the alarms in the fields.3. Click Apply to save.
