Chapter 7: User Management115The Group page is organized into the following categories: Group,Permissions, Port Permissions, and IP ACL.2. Type a descriptive name for the new user group into the GroupName field (up to 64 characters).3. Set the permissions for the group. Select the checkboxes before thepermissions you want to assign to all of the users belonging to thisgroup. See Permissions (on page 116).4. Set the port permissions. Specify the server ports that can beaccessed by users belonging to this group (and the type of access).See Port Permissions (on page 117).5. Set the IP ACL. This feature limits access to the KSX II device byspecifying IP addresses. It applies only to users belonging to aspecific group, unlike the IP Access Control list feature that appliesto all access attempts to the device (and takes priority). SeeGroup-Based IP ACL (Access Control List) (on page 118).6. Click OK.Note: Several administrative functions are available within MPC and fromthe KSX II Local Console. These functions are available only to membersof the default Admin group.Note: Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.Setting Permissions for an Individual GroupTo set permissions for an individual user group:1. Locate the group from among the groups listed. Individual groupscan be identified by the @ in the Group Name.2. Click the Group Name. The Group page opens.
