56Maintenance and CleaningFollow these steps to replace the lamp.LampORDER REPLACEMENT LAMPReplacement lamp can be ordered through your dealer. When ordering a projection lamp, give the followinginformation to the dealer.● Model No. of your projector : PLC-XE30● Replacement Lamp Type No. : POA-LMP93(Service Parts No. 610 323 0719)For continued safety, replace with a lamp of thesame type. Do not drop a lamp or touch a glassbulb! The glass can shatter and may cause injury.Allow a projector to cool, for at least 45 minutesbefore you open the Lamp cover. The inside ofthe projector can become very hot.CAUTIONScrewTurn off the projector and disconnect the AC powercord. Allow the projector to cool for at least 45minutes.Remove 2 screws of the lamp with a screwdriver andpull out the lamp by grasping the handle.13Replace the lamp with a new one and tighten the 2screws back into position. Make sure that the lamp isset properly. Replace the lamp cover and tighten thescrew.4Remove the screw with a screwdriver, and removethe lamp cover.2Connect the AC power cord to the projector and turnon the projector.6 Reset the lamp replacement counter.See “Lamp Replacement Counter” on the next page .5 HandleScrewCAUTIONScrewLamp CoverDo not open the little compartment.This is used to service the projector.When the life of the projection lamp of this projector drawsto an end, the LAMP REPLACE indicator emits a yellowlight.
