Perform preview playback using either of thefollowing methods:While playback is stopped, holding the PREVIEWbutton and pressing the OUT button plays from thecurrent time by the preview time, returns, and thenstops.While playback is stopped, holding the PREVIEWbutton and pressing the IN button plays from the timereturned by the preview time to the current time, andthen stops.Auto punch in/outYou can use the punch in/out function to perform anautomatic record from the punch in to the punch outpoints you previously set .When performing the auto punch in/out recording, theplayback starts from the pre-roll point before the startrecording point (punch in point) and when punch inpoint is reached, the record starts. After that, when therecording end point (punch out point) is reached, the unitswitches to the playback of the post-roll part and stops.In the auto punch in/out recording, the recording trackmonitor changes as follows.Pre-roll period: Track playback signal + input source•signalPunch in• a q punch out interval: Input source signalPost-roll period: Track playback signal + input source•signalIn the auto punch in/out function of this unit, the abovemonitoring changes occur not only during the actualrecording, but also in the Rehearsal mode.In Rehearsal mode, you can simulate the auto punchin/out recording. Therefore, you can rehearse yourperformance and also check whether the IN point andOUT point are appropriately set.You can also use the punch in/out in combination with therepeat function. By using these functions in combination,you can repeatedly rehearse the punch in/out recording,or record the same section several times (multi-take),leaving the unit working automatically to you. Whenperforming multitrack recording, you can choose the bestfrom recorded takes.
