PROFIdrive Communication Profile The Control Word and the Status WordThe contents of the Control Word and the Status Word are detailed in Table 8. and Table 9. respectively. The drive statesare presented in the PROFIdrive State Machine (Figure 22.). Frequency ReferenceThe Frequency reference is a 16-bit word containing a sign bit and a 15-bit integer. A negative reference (indicatingreverse direction of rotation) is formed by calculating the two's complement from the corresponding positive reference.The reference value is the desired output frequency.
