If the unit is inthis condition, the standby indicator on theunit blinks when you try to turn on thepower.As a safety precaution, capability to turn on the poweris disabled. Contact your nearest Yamaha dealer orservice center to request repair. —The power cable is not connected or theplug is not completely inserted.Connect the power cable firmly. —The protection circuitry has been activatedbecause of a short circuit, etc.Check that the speaker wires are not touching eachother and then turn the power of this unit back on. 12The internal microcomputer has frozen,due to an external electric shock (such aslightning or excessive static electricity) orto a drop in the power supply voltage.Turn OFF the A (Power) on the front panel and turn itON again after at least 15 seconds elapse. (If theproblem persists, disconnect the power cable from theAC wall outlet and plug it again.)—The power does notturn off.The internal microcomputer has frozen,due to an external electric shock (such aslightning or excessive static electricity) orto a drop in the power supply voltage.Turn OFF the A (Power) on the front panel and turn itON again after at least 15 seconds elapse. Make sure the openings on the top panel are notblocked. —The auto power standby function hasturned this unit off.Change the auto power standby (“AutoPowerStdby”in the “Setup” menu) to turn off. 48
