Using the Explore Window 4133 Do one of the following:■ Select View > Monitor or View > Monitor in new Window fromthe toolbar in the main 3WXM window.■ Right-click on the object and select Monitor or Monitor in newWindow from the pulldown list.The Monitor tab appears in the Content panel.Each option in step 3 displays monitored data for the selected object.However, the data in the windows opened by the View > Monitor orMonitor option changes when you select another object. The data isalways for the currently selected object. The data in the window openedby the View > Monitor in new Window or Monitor in new Windowoption remains focused on the object that was selected when thewindows were opened.You can distinguish between the two Monitor tabs by looking at the tabtitles. The title shown in bold text is the tab that changes when you selecta different object. The other tab’s title is not bold, and that tab remainsfocused on the same object until you close the tab, regardless of theobjects you select in the Organizer panel.Using the ExploreWindowThe Explore window shows the status of 3Com equipment within thescope of the object selected in the Mobility Domains or Sites section ofthe Organizer panel.■ If you select a Mobility Domain or WX switch, 3WXM presents alink-based view of the equipment. You can hide or redisplay the MAPaccess point connections on a WX switch by clicking on the minussign or plus sign in the right corner of the object. Likewise, you canhide or redisplay the WX switches in a Mobility Domain.■ If you select a MAP access point or a radio, the floor plan containingthe MAP or radio is displayed. The floor plan also is displayed if youselect the floor or you select a wiring closet, coverage area, MAP, orradio on the floor.Floor views are available only if you add the floor to the site informationin the network plan.
