1-13Configuring the Local-First Load Sharing Mechanism for Link AggregationIn an IRF, if the egress port for packets that enter a device is an aggregate interface, and the memberports of the corresponding link aggregation group are located on the current device as well as on othermember devices of the IRF, the packets will be load-shared among the link aggregation member portson the current member device only. If the current device does not have ports that belong to the linkaggregation group, the packets will be load-shared among all the link aggregation member ports. Thismechanism is called local-first load sharing. It can reduce the impact of traffic on the links connectingmember devices of a IRF.
