7-2disk Commandsdisk blinkTo cause a SCSI disk access light to blink (or stop blinking), use thedisk blink command.Syntaxdisk blink [/wait{=boolean}] {scsi_device}{integer}Parameters{scsi_device}Specifies the ID for the SCSI disk you want to blink. A SCSI IDconsists of a SCSI channel number (for example, 0, 1, 2, 3, etc.),device ID (0 through 15 inclusive), and device logical unitnumber (0 through 7 inclusive). See the scsi_device sectionon page 3-7 for more information on how to specify the SCSIdevice.{integer}Specifies the number of seconds you want the SCSI disk toblink. A value of zero (0) stops the SCSI disk from blinking.Switches/wait{=boolean}Specifies whether to perform verification synchronously orasynchronously. If you set this switch to TRUE, the commandperforms the block verification synchronously and thecommand prompt does not return until the block verificationoperation completes. The default is FALSE; the command performs the blockverification asynchronously and the command prompt returnsimmediately.ExamplesThe following example causes SCSI channel number 1, device ID 2,and device logical unit number 0 to blink for fifty-five seconds:AAC0>disk blink (1,2,0) 55Executing: disk blink (CHANNEL=1,ID=2,LUN=0) 55
