109Using Navigationoptions can be combined freely.• Fast routeWith this setting, the shortest possible traveltime to the destination is calculated.• Dyn. route RDSThe route is calculated taking into account thetraffic announcements received.Note:Dynamic route guidance is not currentlypossible in all countries.When new route calculations are made withdynamic route guidance activated, thenavigation system may request the NavigationCD (if the Navigation CD is not alreadyinserted).If dynamic route guidance is active, the routesare calculated using the "Fast Route" setting.Further information on Dynamic Route can befound in section ”Dynamic Route Guidance” onpage 118.• Dyn. route TDSTDS is an additional dynamic navigation op-tion.At the time of going to press, this function wasstill undergoing the release/certification proc-ess. You will be notified separately once thisprocess has been completed.• Short routeWith this setting, the shortest possible route tothe destination is calculated.Note:For larger cities or urban areas, the setting"Short route" is recommended.• Avoid Ferry, Avoid Motorway, AvoidToll and Avoid Tunnelprovides options for avoiding bridges, ferries,tunnels or toll roads.This means that when the ( ) function isactive, the route will be calculated e.g. withouttunnels where possible.Note:In the case of long journeys, motorways are in-cluded in route calculation even where AvoidMotorway is activated.• Private route and Bussiness routeThis function deals with settings for a driver'slog.At the time of going to press, this function wasstill undergoing the release/certification proc-ess. You will be notified separately once thisprocess has been completed.Destination memoryThe destination memory contains personallystored destinations. It is not mandatory to store anydestinations in the destination memory. However,it saves repeated manual entry if the destination isrequired again at a later date.Calling up a destination stored in thedestination memoryUsing the right rotary control, select Dest.memory in the main Navigation menu or in anoth-er entry menu and press the control to confirm.Select the desired destination using the right rotarycontrol and press the control to confirm.Route calculation begins.Additional information about the destination canbe called up before confirming the selection bypressing the left rotary control .
