131Telephone modeDialling a telephone book entryCall up telephone book.There are two possibilities for dialling an entry:• By turning the right rotary control .• By repeatedly pushing one of the multifunctionbuttons - .If an entry to be dialled begins with the letter”F” for example, multifunction buttonmust be pressed 3 times.In the telephone book, the first entry beginningwith the letter ”F” is displayed. By turning theright rotary control , the desired name can beselected.After pressing multifunction button , specialcharacters can also be selected via the multifunc-tion buttons.To dial the selected telephone book entry, brieflypress the right rotary control .Connection will be made with the desired person.Editing / Adding / Deleting telephonebook entriesCall up the telephone book.Select the entry to be edited or deleted as describedabove or, to add an entry, select any entry.By pressing and holding the right rotary control ,the Telephone Book Entry menu will be displayed.By turning the right rotary control , you canchoose betweenNew,Modify andDelete.Confirm your selection by pressing the right rotarycontrol .Adding an entry:After selecting New, the telephone number of thenew entry must be entered first.Press the multifunction buttons through, to enter the desired number with area code(and international dialling prefix if necessary).Briefly press the right rotary control to applythe number entered.Next, the name for the new entry must be entered.You may now enter a name. There are two possi-bilities:• Select the letter or character with the right rotarycontrol and press the control to confirm. Theselected letter is displayed inversely.• Select characters or letters by repeatedly push-ing the multifunction button below the desiredcharacter; i.e. to enter a C, the multifunctionbutton below ABC must be pressed 3 times.Further entry and formatting possibilities:
