These restrictionsnaturally do not apply for your own compositionsand recordings, or for recordings for which author-ization has been obtained from the copyright hold-er.Creating an MP3 data medium• The maximum number of files per medium is500.• Only MP3 music files stored on a CD in compli-ance with ISO 9660 can be played.• If there are more than 99 files in a directory (e.g.on an MMC), a virtual directory is created forevery 99 subsequent files. This means that thesefiles can be accessed by changing directories.• If the artist’s name and track title are to be dis-played, an ID3 tag must be added to the MP3file. This unit supports versions ID3v1 andID3v2 with a maximum acceptable tag length of4 KB.• The display of artist’s name and track title is re-stricted to a total maximum length of 50 charac-ters.• The MP3 formats MPEG1, MPEG2 andMPEG2.5 Layer3 are supported by the unit.Fixed and variable bit rates of 8 - 320 kbit/s andscan rates of 8-48 kHz are supported.• We recommend a bit rate of at least 160 kbit/sfor compressing MP3 files.
