Pressing this switch cancelsautomatic operation and places the system in manualmode. Press AUTO to return to automatic operation.If the airflow seems low when the fan speed is atthe highest setting, the passenger compartment air filtermay need to be replaced. For more information, seePassenger Compartment Air Filter on page 3-33andScheduled Maintenance on page 6-4.h (Recirculation): This mode keeps outside airfrom coming in the vehicle. It can be used to preventoutside air and odors from entering your vehicle orto help heat or cool the air inside your vehicle morequickly. Press this button to turn the recirculationmode on or off. The air-conditioning compressor alsocomes on.Recirculation is not available in the defrost mode andwill automatically turn off after 10 minutes when defogis selected.Using recirculation for long periods of time may causethe air inside your vehicle to become too dry or stuffy.To prevent this from happening, after the air in yourvehicle has cooled, turn the recirculation mode off.QPWRR (Power/Driver’s Temperature): Pressthe PWR button located on the driver’s side of theclimate control panel to turn the entire climate controlsystem on or off. Press the up or down arrow onthe switch to increase or decrease the temperatureinside your vehicle.QPWRR (Power/Passenger’s Temperature): Pressthe PWR button located on the passenger’s side ofthe climate control panel to allow the passenger’sclimate control setting to be different than the driver’s.Press the up or down arrow on the switch to increaseor decrease the temperature for the front passenger.A/C OFF (Air Conditioning): Press this button tomanually turn off the air conditioning compressor.Press AUTO to return to automatic operation or pressthe A/C OFF button again.3-29
