The radio has theoption to record the current trackplaying or all tracks from the CD.Press the softkey under the desiredrecord option.The last radio station that was onbegins playing and a status barappears on the top of the displaywhen the recording process starts.The status bar disappears when theprocess has ended. The recordedsongs are now available.CopyProtected CD(s)Make sure the disc is not copyprotected. The radio does not copya copy-protected CD to the HDD.Deleting a Recorded Song orCategoryDEL (Delete): Press the DELbutton to delete the track currentlyplaying or select a track from one ofthe song lists.To delete an entire category, selecta category and press DEL.Stopping the RecordingWhile recording from the audio CD,press the REC button to display thestop recording option. Press thesoftkey under this option to confirmthe selection.Ejecting a CD or Turning Off theVehicle While RecordingIf the CD is ejected or the vehicleis turned off before the recordingprocess has completed, tracks thathave been completely recordedare stored to the HDD. Incompletetracks are discarded.Re-recording Audio CDsIf a CD has already been recorded,the radio system will not recordthe contents again. If a partiallyrecorded CD is selected forrecording, only those songs that arenot already on the HDD will berecorded.Audio CD Song, Artist, Album,and Genre InformationRadios with HDD contain aGracenote ® Database that the radiouses to determine the song, artist,album, and genre information.The Gracenote Database allows theradio to record an audio CD to theHDD and store the content usingsong, artist, album, and genreinformation.Newly released audio CDs as wellas some less common audio CDsmay not be found in the GracenoteDatabase stored on the HDD.
