If the filterremains caked with dirt, a new filteris required. Never use compressedair to clean the filter.To inspect or replace the engine aircleaner/filter:1. Open the hood. See Hood onpage 9‑5.2. Locate the air filter housing onthe front of the passenger sideof the engine compartment. SeeEngine Compartment Overviewon page 9‑6.A. Air Duct ClampB. Electrical ConnectorsC. Retaining Clips3. Disconnect the outlet duct byloosening the air duct clamp (A).4. Disconnect the electricalconnectors (B).5. Lift the retaining clips (C) on theair filter housing.6. Turn and tilt cover slightlyupwards and slide cover awayfrom outside edge of vehicle.Remove the air filter.
