142Controlling the CameraObtain camera control privileges before carrying out thefollowing operations. These operations can be carried outin both the Admin Viewer and the VB Viewer.Note• Operations carried out by clicking or dragging will not beprecise.• Users operating the camera in the Admin Viewer with theadministrator authorities can control the camera outside theview restrictions.Users operating the camera in the Admin Viewer with theauthorized user authorities can control the camera only withinthe view restrictions.• Users operating the camera in the VB Viewer can control thecamera within the view restrictions. Changing the Camera AngleYou can change the angle by doing one of the following:Use the pan and tilt slidersThe camera angle will change according to the knobposition on the sliders. The knob can also be moved byclicking on an empty part of the slider.Click on the videoWhen you click on the video display area, the cameraangle changes so that the clicked position becomes thecenter of the video. If the desired position is not displayedin the center with one click, align the mouse pointer andclick again until the desired position is displayed in thecenter.Note• While using the Viewer PTZ, clicking on the video display areadoes not work.• In the Admin Viewer, you can also control the pan and tilt withthe camera control button (p. 152). Change the Camera Angle in the PanoramaDisplay AreaMove by clickingClicking a point in the panorama window moves the panand tilt to center on that point.Move by draggingDragging the yellow frame lines in the panorama windowmoves the pan and tilt to capture that area.NoteClicking outside the yellow frame lines and dragging will createblue frame lines. When you release the mouse button, the bluelines will turn yellow and the camera will change the pan, tilt andzoom in order to capture that area.When waiting for control privileges in the VBViewer, the remaining standby time is shownon the control privilege status indicator.Waiting for control privilegesAfter gaining control privileges with VBViewer, the duration for which controlprivileges can be held exclusively over otherguest users counts down.Control privileges assigned(restricted time counting down)The control privilege status indicator is shownin blue.The [Obtain/Release Camera Control] buttonin the VB Viewer is blue in the center.The [Obtain/Release Camera Control] buttonin the Admin Viewer is yellow green in thecenter.Control privileges assigned1 Click the [Panorama Display] button.2 Change the camera angle in the panorama displayarea.Video Display AreaThis slider is used to controlthe pan (horizontalmovement) of the camera.This slider is used to controlthe tilt (vertical movement)of the camera.The frame lines within the display area show theimage currently being captured by the camera.Blue frame lines mean that you do not have cameracontrol privileges.Yellow frame lines mean that you have cameracontrol privileges.
