13-7TroubleshootingError MessagesError MessagesSee the table below when the error and status messages appear on the display.Message Description ActionADJUSTING WAITING TO SCAN The machine is not ready forscanning.Wait until the machine is ready.AUTO REDIAL This message appears when therecipient is engaged in directsending and the job is waiting.Disappears when the transmissionrestarts.CHANGE PAPERSIZE The size of the paper in the paperdrawer or stack bypass is differentfrom that of the paper specified in or SET> in the menu.Load the paper of the size shown onthe display.If you are trying to print a report or list,set the paper size to or ,then load paper of the same size.––CHANGE REG’D SIZE → COMMONSETTINGSThe size of the paper in the paperdrawer or stack bypass is differentfrom that of the paper specifiedin or STD SET> in the SETTINGS> menu.– Change the paper size setting.–The paper ran out during the printjob.– Load paper in the paper drawer orstack bypass.–CHECK DOCUMENT A document jam may have occurredin the ADF.Remove the jammed document.CLOSE COVER FRONT OR LEFTCOVERA cover is open.
