General GuideE-6This section explains the contents of the Digital Keyboard’sdisplay screen.1Detailed information areaThis area displays a variety of information while the DigitalKeyboard is being used. Use this area to confirm properoperation when changing values, when selecting a menuitem, and when performing other operations.2Level meter areaThis level meter shows the volume level of the notes thatare sounded when you play something on the keyboard orwhen Auto Accompaniment is played. There are a total of32 parts, 16 each in Group A and Group B. The Lindicator will be displayed in the lower left corner whileGroup A parts are being indicated by the level meter, whilethe M indicator will be displayed in the lower left cornerwhile Group B parts are being indicated.For details about parts, see “How Parts are Organized”(page E-38).3Indicator areasThe indicator area shows such information as the currentmode (page E-7), the status of settings, the status of AutoAccompaniment, and other information.There are two types of indicators: text type indicators suchas :, and pointer (K) type indicators. In the case ofpointer type indicators, a setting or status is indicated bythe location of the K next to fixed text along the sides of thedisplay. For example, the location of the pointer (K) on theright side of the display in the sample below indicatesREVERB.4Registration bank areaThis area shows the number of the currently selectedregistration bank (page E-61).5Chord areaThis area shows the chord being played when AutoAccompaniment (page E-26) or music preset (page E-49)is being used. It also can display fraction chords byshowing the chord root (C, G, etc.) and type (m, 7th, etc.).6Tempo, measure, beat areaTempo is shown as the current setting value, as beats perminute. Auto Accompaniment, the metronome (pageE-19), and other playback is performed at the temposhown here. The MEASURE and BEAT values arecounted up as Auto Accompaniment, the metronome, orother playback progresses.The item that is currently selected on a display screen isindicated by thick brackets (%) and by a large dot (0). Thecurrently selected item is the one that is affected by the R-14(–, +) buttons or dial operations.On this screen, “RHYTHM” is selected because it is enclosedby thick brackets. This indicates that the rhythm setting can bechanged.On this screen, “Touch” is selected because the 0 is next toit.
