Beforeusing the heating modes “Broil” or “EconomyBroil”, remove the core temperature probe from theoven cavity. It is possible to use the heating mode“Broil + Circulated Air” at temperatures up to480° F (250 °C).9 CAUTIONDamage to the core temperature probe:The core temperature probe may be damaged attemperatures above 480° F (250 °C). When usingthe core temperature probe, never set thetemperature above 480° F (250 °C).Inserting the core temperature probeinto the foodInsert the core temperature probe into the food beforeyou place the food in the oven cavity.The core temperature probe has three measuring points.Insert the core temperature probe as far as possible.Ensure that the middle measuring point is inserted in thefood. It must not be inserted in the fat or be touching theovenware or bones.Meat: For large pieces of meat, insert the coretemperature probe at an angle from above as far as it willgo into the meat.For relatively thin pieces of meat, insert the meat probefrom the side at the thickest point.If there is more than one piece of meat, insert the coretemperature probe into the middle of the thickest piece.Poultry: Insert the core temperature probe as far as it willgo into the thickest point in the breast. Depending on itsstructure, insert the core temperature probe into thepoultry crossways or lengthways. With poultry, make surethat the tip of the core temperature probe does notprotrude into the cavity in the middle of the bird.Fish: Insert the core temperature probe behind the headas far as it will go towards the spine. Place the whole fishonto the wire rack and prop it up in the swimmingposition using half a potato.Turning the food: If you want to turn the food, do notremove the core temperature probe. Once you haveturned the food, check that the core temperature probe iscorrectly positioned in the food.
