Once youcreate and save a workout, you can use the Garmin TrainingCenter™ software to schedule the workout for a particularday. Scheduling allows you save setup time by planningworkouts in advance and storing them on your Forerunner.For more information about installing Garmin TrainingCenter, see the Appendix.Creating WorkoutsWe recommend that you use the Garmin Training Centersoftware to create workouts and transfer them to yourForerunner 301. However, you can create and save anadvanced workout directly on your Forerunner if youwish. Note that you cannot use the Forerunner to scheduleworkouts; you must use Garmin Training Center.To create an advanced workout using theForerunner:1. Press mode to access Menu mode. Then highlightTraining Assistant and press enter.2. Highlight Advanced Workout and press enter.Scheduled workoutsnot loaded. Scheduled workoutsloaded.3. If you have not loaded scheduled workouts fromGarmin Training Center, press enter to create a newworkout. If you have loaded scheduled workoutsfrom Garmin Training Center, highlight View Alland press enter. Then highlight andpress enter.4. Highlight the workout name (Run 000, Bike 000, orOther 000) and press enter to change the name ofthe workout.
