If a destination airport is entered andcharts exist, that airport and the 14 airports nearest tothe aircraft’s present position are displayed.After selecting an airport, the individual approachchart to be overlaid can be loaded from a list of geo-referenced approach charts available for that airport.Not all approach charts can be overlaid in this fashionand only geo-referenced charts will be presented forselection from the Custom Map. Because of this, it ispossible that approach charts that are viewable underthe ChartView Function may not be presented in thislist.NOTE: The pilot must be aware that not allcharts in the loaded database can be used asan overlay. The Load Chart function is automaticwhen connected to a GNS 480-series GPS re-ceiver and the AutoLoad Chart option is enabledin the SYS function.Overlaid chart labels are always oriented North-Up.
