Youmay select the display of VOR icon and identifier, icononly, or no information by each subsequent press ofthe VOR MENU ITEM key.VOR information detailThe GMX 200 supports full integration with theGNS 480, CNX80, and SL30 Nav/Com. This fea-ture allows tuned VORs along with ILS and localizerapproaches to be shown on the GMX 200 movingmap. This high level of integration is designed toprovide additional, simple to interpret situationalawareness during high work-load phases of flight.The graphic display of Nav/Comm information onthe GMX 200 provides another source to help makeCustom Mapsure you are using the intended navigational aid andyour To/From orientation to the reference station is asdesired.You can turn the display of VOR and ILS informa-tion in the Custom Map page on or off. VOR and ILSinformation is always shown in the IFR and VFR Chartfunctions. VOR symbols on an airway are always dis-played when Low Airways or High Airways is selected.VOR HighlightThe GMX 200 highlights the VOR in magenta onthe moving map when the SL30 is either tuned to ormonitoring a nearby VOR station. The highlightedVOR station is determined by using the tuned ormonitored VOR frequency of the SL30 with the GMX200 internal database.Custom Map information when connected to SL30The SL30 must be receiving a valid signal from theVOR.The VOR information detail for the selected VORwill show the distance and radial-from bearing betweenyour present position and the VOR. The radial and dis-tance information comes from your GPS, not the SL30.
