27Detailed OperationIFR En Route (IFR) Chart FunctionThe IFR En Route Chart function shows an IFR enroute style map for the display. The IFR display showsnavigational aid information and the flight plan courseline. The “smart” keys on the bottom of the screencontrol zooming in and out, panning, and the displayof information on the current TO waypoint. The menuof options available for the IFR mode include FlightPlan, map orientation, Invert, turning labels on or off,low and high airways, Airport Chart, or Load Chart.The zoom scale is limited to a maximum of 300 nm.This data is advisory only and does not replace pri-mary indicators, such as the CDI. Navigation shouldnot be based on the data presented on the GMX 200.Review the Limitations section in the front of thisguide.IFR Option Page 1The first option page of the IFR Chart functionlets you select options for the choices of Flight Plan,Map Orientation, Invert display, Nav Data, and Labels.The last option selection takes you to the next page ofoptions.IFR En Route Chart page with Menu Items (Page 1)Flight PlanThe Flight Plan option controls the display of theFlight Plan course line. Pressing the MENU ITEM keynext to the Flight Plan option toggles the Flight Planroute line on and off.Map OrientationThis option controls the screen orientation inreference to the aircraft symbol. You may select fromNorth Up, Track Up, Track Up Arc, Track Up 360, andDesired Track Up. North Up sets magnetic north asthe top of the screen. Track Up sets the current trackof the aircraft as the top of the screen. Track Up Arcsets the current track of the aircraft and a 120° arc atthe top of the screen. Track Up 360 sets the currenttrack of the aircraft at the top of the screen and a 360°ring with the aircraft symbol position in the center.Desired Track Up sets the desired track to the nextwaypoint as the top of the screen.
