6 - WPT PAGES143190-00357-00 Rev GModifying User WaypointsModifying User WaypointsTo modify an existing waypoint, select thatwaypoint on the User Waypoint Page and enter thenew position information directly over the old infor-mation.From the User Waypoint Page, use the smalland large right knobs to modify the positioncoordinates of an existing user waypoint.To modify a user waypoint by changing its lati-tude/longitude position:1. With the User Waypoint Page displayed, pressthe small right knob to activate the cursor.2. Use the small and large right knobs to enterthe name of the desired waypoint and pressENT.3. Turn the large right knob to highlight theposition field at the bottom of the page.4. Use the small and large right knobs to enterthe new position coordinates and press ENTto accept the selected position.5. The cursor moves to the “Modify?” action field.Press ENT to modify the waypoint.6. Press the small right knob to remove theflashing cursor.To modify a user waypoint by changing referencewaypoint information:1. With the User Waypoint Page displayed, pressthe small right knob to activate the cursor.2. Use the small and large right knobs to enterthe name of the desired waypoint and pressENT.3. Turn the large right knob to highlight thefirst reference waypoint (REF WPT) field, ifyou wish to change the reference waypoint.Otherwise, continue turning the large rightknob to highlight the radial (RAD) or distance(DIS) field, as desired.You can modify the location of an exist-ing waypoint by changing the referencewaypoint and/or by changing the radial anddistance.4. Use the small and large right knobs tochange the identifier — if desired — of thereference waypoint. The reference waypointcan be an airport, VOR, NDB, intersection oranother user waypoint. Press ENT to acceptthe selected identifier.
