Turn the small right knob to select “On” or“Off”, as desired. Press ENT to accept theselection.4. To change the altitude buffer, turn the largeright knob to highlight the “Altitude Buffer”field. Use the small and large right knobsto enter the desired buffer distance. Press ENTwhen finished.This buffer distance is added to the floor/ceiling limits and provides an added marginof safety.NOTE: When an approach has been loaded intothe active flight plan, airspace alert messages aredisabled within 31 NM of the destination airport.To change the maximum CDI scale setting:1. Select “CDI / Alarms” from the Setup Page.2. The flashing cursor highlights the “SelectedCDI” field. Turn the small right knob to selectthe desired CDI scale. The selected scale andany lower scale settings are used during thevarious phases of flight as described in Section11 FDE - CDI/Alarms.3. Press ENT to accept the selected scale. The“System CDI” field displays the CDI scale cur-rently in use. The “System CDI” setting maydiffer from the “Selected CDI” depending uponthe current phase of flight.
