33Remote SetupChapter Two : Setting Up PowerTouch Audio-Video Receiver KRF-X9992DCalibrating the Touch ScreenAfter you install the batteries or reset PowerTouch,you need to calibrate the touch screen. The touchscreen responds to pressure from the included stylusor your finger:If you are replacing batteries and complete thebattery replacement within 3 minutes, you do notneed to calibrate the screen; calibration is stored inmemory.If the screen’s performance begins to change, you canrecalibrate it without resetting PowerTouch bypressing on the Setup Preference menu. Formore information about accessing this menu, see“Identifying Devices For PowerTouch Control” onpage␣ 37.To calibrate the touch screen, use the stylus to touchthe center of each of the calibration points displayedWhen you touch each calibration point, you shouldhear a beep and see the next point, indicating thatarea of the screen is now calibrated. If you do nothear a beep, touch the calibration point until you do.The touch screen is sensitive to pressure, not tomovement. Press firmly but gently on any touch screenelement. The screen will not respond if you simplybrush the stylus or your finger along the surface.Resetting PowerTouchIf you want to reconfigure PowerTouch, you canreset it. You do not need to do this unless youexperience a problem.1. Open the cover.2. Use the stylus to press the blue button at thebottom of the battery case:The items you set up in this chapter will remain inPowerTouch.
