In Dolby Pro Logic,Dolby 3 Stereo, and DSP modes, thesubwoofer will not receive any signal at all.c. If you set your left and right front speakers toLrg and want to send bass to the subwoofer inall Listen modes, touch until “On”appears above the button. In Dolby Pro Logic,Dolby 3 Stereo, and DSP modes SW Re-Mixmixes some of the bass from your left andright front speakers back into your subwoofer.If you set your left and right front speakers toNml, SW Re-Mix does not function.d. If you are not already there, touchon the Setup Surround menu to open theSpeaker Distance menu:3. Touch or to set the distance for the leftfront speaker.4. Touch or to select the next speaker.5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each speaker.6. Touch to move to the next speaker setting ortouch to return to the Surround menu.SP LevelIn this step you will use your ears to balance thevolume level of all the system’s speakers except thesubwoofer for your room and listening position. (Toset the subwoofer level, see “Setting the SubwooferLevel” on page␣ 37.) When all the speakers are set atthe same volume level, your system will create a morerealistic, spacious surround sound environment.1. Eliminate as many external noise sources aspossible.2. Sit in the place where you and your guests aremost likely to sit while watching movies orlistening to music.3. If you are not already there, touchon the Setup Surround menu to open theSpeaker Level menu:4. Touch until the Test Tone display reads“Manu”.5. The receiver’s master volume will become 0 dB,and test noise will play from the left frontspeaker. Please note that the test tone is quiteloud.
