The APs that are directly connected to 10.10.10.4 (WSS1)are not configured as Distributed APs on WSS1, but they are configured as Distributed APs on the other WSS.On WSS1, the directly connected APs are configured using AP access ports, with the set port type apcommand.A DAP number is listed only for Distributed APs that are configured on the WSS on which you type thecommand. For Distributed APs configured on other WSSs, a hyphen ( - ) is displayed in the DAP field. The bias determines the WSS a Distributed AP prefers for booting, configuration, and data transfer. (For infor-mation about bias and how to configure it, see the Nortel WLAN 2300 System Software Configuration Guide.)Configuring a Service ProfileA service profile controls advertisement and encryption for an SSID. You can specify the following:• Whether SSIDs that use the service profile are beaconed• Whether the SSIDs are encrypted or clear (unencrypted)• For encrypted SSIDs, the encryption settings to use• The fallthru authentication method for users that are not authenticated with 802.1X or MACauthentication. The fallthru method can be Web, last-resort, or none. (See “Configuring forAuthenticating Users” on page 101.)Table 9 on page 109 lists the parameters controlled by a service profile and their default values.
