After pressing the Search key, you can alsouse the numeric keypad to alphabetically search for thenames of locations programmed into your fax machine.3. */ Key: If your fax machine is set to pulse dialing, thiskey allows you to switch the dialing operation of your faxmachine from pulse to tone dialing during your current call.You can also use this key while programming to createnumbers with mixed pulse-then-tone operations.4. 0/Unique Key: When dialing, use this key to enter a “0”.When programming your Sender ID or a Location ID, youcan use this key to enter a variety of unique characters, e.g. 0! # & ‘ ( ) * + , - . / : ; = ? · @ \ “ _ % ˜ ä ß ñ ö ü Æ Å Ø æ å ø.5. Select Function Key: Using this key activates theadvanced transmission and reception functions, to obtainreports and for programming. To select a function, press theSelect Function key, and then press the One-Touch keylabeled with the function you want to use. Whenprogramming or selecting other functions, pressing theSelect Function key a second time returns you to the stand-by mode.6. Auto Dial Key: Auto Dial numbers are abbreviated numbersfor rapid dialing. Rather than dialing the entire telephonenumber, you can enter a 3-digit code number toautomatically dial a number instead. You can also use theLocation IDs (names) associated with Auto Dial numbers tosearch for these locations by name using the Search key.7. Hook/V. Request Key: During a fax communication,pressing this key alerts the operator at the other fax machinethat you wish to talk at the end of your transmission or afterreception of any page has been completed. To use thisfeature both fax machines must have either the externaltelephone handset or an external telephone connected. Toanswer a voice request, press this key after lifting yourtelephone handset.
