10 General: Features of Recorder/Player unit Text memos & Shot marksEach clip can incorporate comments, in the form of textmemo added to the thumbnail associated with the timecode, together with shot marks which, for example, can helpyou distinguish OK cuts from reject cuts.Both text memos and shot marks can be added to selectedclips during and after a recording. This is helpful for editingrecorded video.In addition, you can use the copy function for each textmemo block to take only the necessary portions out of a clip. Front-mounted Sound Level Control MechanismThe unit features a front-mounted control for fine adjustmentof the sound recording level. This control is particularlyeffective for adjusting the sound level when you are shootingwithout a sound recordist. The control can be disabled.(Refer to page 16) Support for Built-in Unislot Wireless ReceiveThe unit is designed to support an optional slot-in wirelessreceiver. (Refer to pages 114 and 193) The unit alsosupports 2-channel wireless receivers. Recording Review CapabilityThis capability automatically plays back the last 2 to 10seconds of recorded video, allowing you to quickly check therecorded contents. Built-in Time Code Generator/readerA special-purpose subcode track can be used to record andreproduce time code information. Support for MetadataThe unit is capable of recording positional information(latitudes, longitudes and altitudes), as UMID information(metadata), from the GPS unit AJ-GPS910G (optional).Names/titles can also be recorded, e.g. the camera person,the reporter, or the program which was registered on the SDmemory card in advance.
