DVCPRO connectorThis is an output connector for video, audio, and datathat comply with the IEEE1394 standard.¡Notesy Power is not supplied from the unit.y Be absolutely sure to bear the following points in mindwhen connecting the IEEE1394 cable (DV cable).– Ensure that the connections with other devices aremade on a 1:1 basis.– When a 1394 cable (DV cable) has been connectedto the DVCPRO connector, do not apply any strongexternal force as this may damage the connector.– When error code 1394 E-92 (1394 INITIALERROR) appears, disconnect the connectingcables and re-connect them or turn off the unit’spower and turn it back on.– Ensure that the unit and all of the connecteddevices are each grounded (or connected to acommon ground) before use.If it is not possible to ground the unit and devices,turn off the power of the unit and of all theconnected devices before connecting ordisconnecting the IEEE1394 cable.– When the unit is to be connected to a deviceequipped with a 4-pin type of connector, connectthe unit’s connector (6-pin type) first.– When connecting the unit with a PC equipped witha 6-pin type of connector, connect the 1394 cableas dictated by the shapes of the 1394 connectors.Bear in mind that inserting a plug the wrong wayround may damage the unit.– When the unit is used in AVC-Intra format, image/audio signals cannot be output through theDVCPRO connector.31. SD memory card insertion slotAn SD memory card (optional) is inserted here. SDmemory cards are used for recording and accessing themenu settings of cameras and the lens files, uploadingmetadata, and proxy recording (optional).Use the unit by inserting an SD memory card that iscompliant with the SD standard or the SDHC standard.MultiMediaCards cannot be used. (Bear in mind thatrecording may no longer be possible if you do usethem.)If you intend to use miniSD cards in unit, always installthe adapter specially designed for miniSD cards. (Theunit will not work properly if only the miniSD cardadapter is installed. Make sure that the card has beeninstalled in the adapter before using it.)Use of Panasonic’s SD memory cards and miniSDcards is recommended.
